At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we tackle the world's most demanding challenges within the Sensors, Effectors & Mission Systems (SEMS) organization. Our Radar Systems Engineering team brings together the brightest minds across our Moorestown, NJ, and Syracuse, NY sites to invent solutions where they don't yet exist. We collaborate with the best Radar engineers in the business to deliver quality designs and cutting-edge capabilities to a broad array of customers, including the Missile Defense Agency, US Navy, Air Force, US Army, Space Force, and international partners such as Japan, Canada, Spain, Norway, Australia, and the UK.

About the Role

As a Sensor Systems Architect, you will join a team dedicated to the architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. This role exists to drive radar capability implementation by defining concepts of operations, establishing radar behavior, and developing the associated requirements that guide subsystems. You will serve as a bridge between technical execution and mission success, collaborating with subsystem teams to define clear, executable, and testable approaches. Your work will involve conducting trade studies to analyze system-level performance impacts, developing detailed design documentation, and representing the organization on contracts while interfacing with internal and external customers, program leadership, and multi-disciplinary teams.
