About the Team

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services (ProServe) organization is a global team of experts dedicated to helping customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work collaboratively with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings that help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption, including focused guidance through global specialty practices covering various solutions, technologies, and industries.

AWS Global Services includes experts from across AWS who help customers design, build, operate, and secure their cloud environments. Customers innovate with AWS Professional Services, upskill with AWS Training and Certification, optimize with AWS Support and Managed Services, and meet objectives with AWS Security Assurance Services. Our expertise spans emerging technologies, including AWS Partners, AWS Sovereign Cloud, AWS International Product, and the Generative AI Innovation Center. We are a diverse team of technical experts in dozens of countries, united by a mission to help customers achieve more with the AWS cloud.

About the Role

As a ProServe Account Executive (PAE), you will serve as the primary customer-facing relationship owner for the Financial Services sector. In this role, you will engage new and existing customers in transformative projects involving IT Strategy, distributed architecture, and hybrid cloud operations. Your focus will be on understanding and defining business outcomes by building trust, identifying applicable AWS Professional Services offerings, and creating proposals to secure customer sign-off on Statements of Work (SOWs).

You will work closely with ProServe Cloud Architects, Engagement Managers, and Delivery Consultants to drive customer success and business growth. Following project launch, you will stay connected with the customer to ensure we are delivering the agreed customer business outcomes (CBO) as outlined in the SOW. Your experience in selling services within the technology and consulting sectors will equip you to translate technical concepts into tangible business value. You will demonstrate proficiency in business development, executing sales methodologies, and managing CRM systems, coupled with strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.

A Day in the Life

As an experienced services sales professional, your day will involve leading business development efforts by engaging Financial Services customers and driving high-value engagements. You will establish executive relationships across Technology and Business groups, becoming a strategic advisor with deep knowledge of the customer's business and available technology solutions. You will collaborate with Amazon Global Sales (AGS) representatives to ensure a coordinated approach for key accounts, create proposals, and secure customer sign-off on SOWs. Additionally, you will monitor ongoing projects to ensure the delivery of agreed CBOs and maximize revenue potential, advocating for customers while balancing AWS business objectives. This customer-facing role may require up to 50% travel to customer sites.
