Viasat is seeking a new team member to support program control activities within its Government Services division. This role will report directly to the Program Control Manager and offers an exciting opportunity to support a new program from inception while acting as a strategic business partner to the Program Manager.
As a Senior Program Control Specialist, you will play a significant role in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of various programs. You will collaborate with the project group to build and maintain program schedules in MS Project, integrating monthly updates from subcontractors. As a key advisor to the PM, you will influence good decisions for the program, the company, and the customer.
Your focus will include establishing and maintaining the Cost Baseline and Estimates at Completion, supervising program costs across multiple funding sources, and analyzing schedule impacts. You will perform "what-if" scenarios, develop recovery plans using Critical Path methodologies, and leverage Earned Value Management (EVM) to provide performance information for the program team. Working within our multifaceted Program Control team, you will interface daily with Program Managers, finance personnel, functional groups, and engineering staff in an environment crafted to achieve program and professional success.
This is a U.S. government position requiring U.S. citizenship. The role involves up to 10% travel.
