About the Role

Medline Industries, LP is seeking experienced Sr. Legal Counsel and Regional Heads to join our team in Laredo, TX. In this pivotal position, you will serve as the primary legal resource for employment matters, bridging the gap between complex regulatory requirements and business operations. You will act as a strategic partner to senior executives, coaching business leaders on risk mitigation while ensuring strict adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

Your day-to-day involves managing a diverse portfolio of legal functions, from drafting separation agreements and individual employment contracts to leading training initiatives on employment law. You will supervise outside counsel for routine litigation, support corporate restructurings, and manage collective bargaining processes, including contract negotiations with local unions. Additionally, you will play a key role in compliance investigations, social security procedures, and responding to government audits and discovery requests.

This role requires a hybrid approach, with telecommuting permitted but requiring presence at the worksite 2-3 days per week. The position also entails travel up to 30% of the time for business purposes within the U.S. and Mexico, reflecting the cross-border nature of our operations.
