Tyto Athene is seeking a Sr. Information Security Officer (ISSO) to support a federal customer in Washington, DC. In this role, you will ensure information systems meet rigorous security requirements while leading ongoing privacy-related activities. You will be responsible for the development, implementation, and enforcement of federal and organizational policies governing the protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and other sensitive data. This position requires strong knowledge of federal privacy laws and the ability to support the Governance Risk and Compliance program with federally mandated requirements.
You will act as a key partner in integrating privacy and legal requirements into the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle, ensuring systems achieve Authorization to Operate (ATO) and maintain continuous monitoring. Your day-to-day will involve translating complex privacy policies into actionable operational procedures, conducting privacy impact assessments, and integrating privacy-by-design principles into the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will also coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage audits, data calls, and reporting requirements within a Legislative Branch environment.

This is an on-site contract position with a hybrid allowance in Washington, DC, requiring a minimum of two days a week (Tuesday and Thursday), though this may increase based on customer needs. Candidates must be US Citizens with Public Trust eligibility.
