Our Property Claims department is dedicated to delivering high-quality service and outcomes for our insureds. We focus on resolving complex field property claims through thorough analysis, collaboration with internal teams and external experts, and strict adherence to policy provisions, regulations, and best practices.
As a Senior Field Property Adjuster for the Southfield and Detroit, Michigan territory, you will independently manage moderate to complex and high-value field property claims. This remote, full-time role requires advanced investigation, evaluation, and negotiation skills to resolve claims effectively. You will serve as a key resource for catastrophe (CAT) response, leading thorough investigations, assessing coverage, and issuing appropriate documentation such as reservation of rights letters.
In this position, you will act as a mentor to junior adjusters, guiding them on complex claims, compliance, and litigation processes. You will coordinate with diverse stakeholders including legal, underwriting, vendors, and agents, often leading cross-functional meetings to communicate complex information clearly. Your work involves setting reserves, authorizing payments, and utilizing advanced tools and analytics to identify trends and improve claims handling efficiency. You will also represent the company in mediations, arbitrations, and trials when necessary, ensuring empathetic and clear communication throughout the claims process to deliver a positive customer experience.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and appropriate state adjuster licenses with continuing education credits. The role requires the ability to travel on short notice and operate a motor vehicle for field investigations. Please ensure you have a sufficient home-based internet connection and the physical ability to perform field work, including inspecting damaged buildings and operating ladders safely.
