The Deputy General Counsel serves as a legal leader within the Office of Legal Services, providing strategic direction and day-to-day management for the agency's litigation team. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this role is pivotal in guiding experienced attorneys and paralegals through a diverse portfolio of administrative and civil litigation, including occupational licensing, wage and hour enforcement, workers' compensation, and unemployment insurance matters.
In this position, you will ensure timely and effective case handling while partnering with agency leadership to align litigation strategy with broader operational goals. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of public service law in Montana, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement while mentoring the next generation of legal professionals.
