About the Role
The Virtual Design & Data Solutions (VDDS) Senior Civil Engineering Technician serves as a lead technical specialist, applying advanced civil engineering knowledge to create and modify site development plans, grading designs, and utility layouts. Using industry-standard tools like Autodesk Civil 3D, this role ensures the delivery of high-quality civil engineering solutions for complex infrastructure projects.
Beyond technical execution, the Senior Technician acts as a mentor and supervisor, providing technical guidance, consultation, and training to other technicians and engineering staff. This ensures consistency, quality, and strict adherence to design standards across conceptual and detailed design activities. The role involves managing drawing controls, maintaining historical project records, and exercising sound judgment to interpret inputs and make critical deliverable-related decisions.
