DDS Engineering & Surveying, LLP (DDSE) is an experienced natural gas and civil engineering firm dedicated to providing consulting engineering, permitting, and survey services throughout the Northeast. Our dynamic team comprises seasoned natural gas, civil, and mechanical engineers, surveyors, and construction personnel, supported by in-house expertise in legal, compliance, and safety. We serve a diverse range of natural gas customers, delivering critical services related to transmission, distribution main design, station design, and customer services for both residential and commercial sectors.
Our fast-growing energy division operates with flexibility across multiple office locations, including New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Florida, and Illinois. We are seeking thoughtful and highly motivated individuals to join our collaborative environment where technical excellence and client service drive our mission.
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) to serve as the primary electrical technical lead for gas distribution facility projects and complex RNG/LNG facility projects. This is first and foremost a technical leadership role designed to provide high-level engineering judgment and design oversight across multidisciplinary projects.
In this position, you will act as DDS's client-facing electrical subject matter expert, guiding clients and internal teams through electrical scope, design decisions, code application, and constructability challenges. You will lead the review of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EI&C) deliverables, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. While the role involves supporting drawing development and AutoCAD-based production, the primary focus remains on technical direction, complex design analysis, and mentoring junior staff to establish consistent design and review practices.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting projects from design development through to construction, participating in field walks, site verification, and troubleshooting to ensure efficient project execution. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of quality improvement within the electrical team.
