About the Role
The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Cost Accounting serves as a strategic business partner within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. This position is designed to bridge the gap between technical accounting expertise and operational execution, ensuring the integrity of product costing, inventory valuation, and financial controls.
As a key finance leader, you will drive profitability and support the company's long-term growth objectives by strengthening business processes and improving inventory accuracy. You will collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, FP&A, Accounting, and IT to translate operational activities into clear financial outcomes and influence critical decision-making.

- check_circleOwn accuracy and integrity of product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing accounting processes
- check_circleMaintain and improve standard costing methodologies, cost rollups, labor rates, and overhead allocations
- check_circleAnalyze manufacturing variances and provide actionable insights to management
- check_circleLead inventory reconciliations, cycle count programs, and initiatives to improve inventory accuracy
- check_circleAnalyze manufacturing performance, labor efficiency, productivity, absorption, scrap, and profitability
- check_circleDevelop KPIs and reporting tools that improve visibility into operational and financial performance
- check_circlePartner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to identify opportunities for cost reduction
- check_circleServe as the finance subject matter expert for ERP systems with emphasis on costing and inventory
- check_circleLead ERP-related process improvements, system enhancements, testing, training, and implementation
- check_circleLead, coach, and develop members of the Cost Accounting team
- check_circleEstablish performance expectations, development plans, and succession strategies for direct reports

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- verified7+ years of progressive manufacturing cost accounting experience
- verified2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
- verifiedCPA or CMA preferred
- verifiedInfor LN experience preferred
- verifiedStrong understanding of GAAP
- verifiedAbility to travel up to 15%
- verifiedMust be able to handle confidential information
Nice to Have
CPA or CMA certification. Experience in high-mix, low-volume, engineer-to-order, or project-based manufacturing environments. Infor LN ERP system experience.
