About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting & Consolidations to join our team at our Denver headquarters. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing select month-end entries, financial statements, and monthly reporting packages, including related notes to the financial statements. You will serve as a subject matter expert in financial reporting and consolidations, assisting with technical accounting research, the interpretation of new accounting standards, and complex accounting projects such as purchase accounting, pensions, and equity-based compensation.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting and requires close interaction with various departments across Zayo, including Accounting, Investor Relations, Finance, Tax, Sales, Operations, and IT. You will assess internal stakeholder reporting needs and develop solutions to meet the business's evolving requirements.
Work Environment
We are open to this position working in a hybrid capacity out of our Denver headquarters (1401 Wynkoop).

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePrepare monthly consolidated and segment-level cash flow statements
- check_circleAssist with the external audit process by preparing support and coordinating auditor requests
- check_circleRecommend solutions for complex accounting projects including business combinations and pension accounting
- check_circleDesign and implement new internal reporting solutions in partnership with Finance and IT teams
- check_circlePrepare quarterly and annual financial statements, notes, and MD&A for multiple legal entities
- check_circlePrepare month-end close entries and reconciliations for intangibles, debt, OCI, and intercompany transactions
- check_circleProvide guidance to functional teams on general ledger, legal, investor relations, and treasury matters
- check_circleDevelop and educate others on accounting policies for revenue recognition, lease accounting, and capitalization
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other related field
- verifiedMinimum of four (4) years of related experience working at a national Public Accounting firm, public company or large private company with substantial reporting obligations
- verifiedActively licensed CPA or working toward licensure, preferred
- verifiedAdvanced knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting and filing requirements
- verifiedKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Nice to Have
Actively licensed CPA or working toward licensure. Knowledge of Oracle, OneStream, Toppan Merrill Bridge, or Salesforce. Experience in the telecommunications industry.
