We are seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to be at the center of our business needs in our Long Beach, CA office. This role is designed for professionals ready to serve clients, grow professionally, help expand the firm, and lead others.
As an Assurance Manager, you will supervise, direct, and review audit engagements from planning through fieldwork and wrap-up stages. You will be responsible for marketing, networking, and business development within your area of expertise, while ensuring engagement profitability through effective billings and collections. Traditionally, you will advise clients on economic and regulatory risks, resolve complex accounting issues, and apply GAAP and GAAS consistently in complex situations. You will also document, validate, test, and assess various financial reporting control systems, acting as a primary contact for clients and preparing presentations for both current and potential clients.
In this capacity, you will serve as a Career Advisor to Associates and Senior Associates, providing on-the-job training, managing workloads, and delivering performance feedback. You will guide the team in applying professional standards, communicating matters to Audit Committees, and executing BDO methodology to ensure quality, efficiency, and completeness despite tight deadlines.
