About the Role
This position serves as a critical link between field operations and financial reporting, ensuring that customer invoices and credit memos for Nabors' drilling operations, rig technologies, and manufacturing segments are accurately generated and fully compliant with contract terms. The role exists to maintain the integrity of revenue recognition by meticulously aligning billing outputs with complex agreements between Nabors and its Operators.
In this capacity, you will manage the end-to-end billing lifecycle, from capturing revenue data across multiple points to the final submission of invoices via email, US Mail, or third-party eInvoicing systems. A significant portion of your day involves collaborating with field operations, marketing, and collections teams to resolve billing disputes and secure necessary approvals. You will also play a key role in month-end close activities by identifying and reporting unbilled revenue for accruals, while maintaining organized well/billing files to satisfy rigorous internal and external audit requirements.
Beyond individual execution, this role includes a mentorship component where you will assist in training less experienced billing coordinators and back up the Billing Supervisor on non-managerial tasks. Success in this position requires navigating complex contract language, understanding specific drilling coding (IADC), and utilizing advanced Excel skills to design and maintain billing trackers.

Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma or equivalent
- verified5+ years of billing or payables experience using a major ERP system
- verified5+ years of experience working with contract billing specifications

- verifiedGeneral understanding of basic accounting principles and the accrual process

- verifiedAssociates degree or AR related professional certifications (preferred)

Working experience in the land/offshore drilling, drilling services, and/or manufacturing industry.
