We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Speech Rehab Unit at the UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO. This is an onsite role focused on inpatient rehabilitation, distinct from acute care settings.
In this position, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, voice, and related abilities. You will create and execute personalized therapy plans based on assessment findings and patient goals, making a profound impact on patient recovery. A key part of your day involves providing extensive education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding communication or swallowing disorders, prognosis, and home practice strategies. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, audiologists, and teachers to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
