As a Speech Language Pathologist within the Inpatient Rehab unit at UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to improving lives through direct patient care. This is a specialized onsite role focused on inpatient rehabilitation rather than acute care, offering a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment where you can model proficiency and contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care.
In this position, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, voice, and related abilities. You will create and execute personalized therapy plans based on assessment findings and patient goals, making a profound impact on patient outcomes. Your role involves providing extensive education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding communication or swallowing disorders, prognosis, and home practice strategies. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, audiologists, and teachers—to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
