We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team at the UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO. This is a specialized onsite role within the Speech Rehab Unit, focusing on inpatient rehabilitation rather than acute care.
In this position, you will provide top-of-scope practice in direct patient care, conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities. You will create and execute personalized therapy plans based on assessment findings and patient goals, making a profound impact on patient recovery. Your day will involve extensive education for patients, families, and caregivers regarding communication disorders, prognosis, and home practice strategies. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and audiologists—to ensure coordinated, holistic patient care.
This role is part of a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment where you will model proficiency by precepting new team members and welcoming new knowledge.
