As a Speech Language Pathologist in the Inpatient Rehab unit at UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to improving lives through direct patient care. This is a specialized onsite role focused on inpatient rehabilitation, distinct from acute care settings. You will provide top-of-scope practice, conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities.
In this position, you will create and execute personalized therapy plans based on assessment findings and patient goals. Your day will involve providing extensive education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding communication disorders, prognosis, and home practice strategies. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and audiologists—to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
