Sheppard Pratt School in Lanham is a nonpublic special education day school providing educational, therapeutic, and daily living services to students ages 5 to 21. Our tailored programs cater to individuals with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and other health impairments, ensuring each student receives the support they need to thrive. You will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students identified as needing support. Working alongside a multi-disciplined team led by a bold vision to change lives, you will identify, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, voice, fluency, hearing, and language disorders. Your day will involve providing individual and group therapy tailored to the developmental needs of students, collaborating with interdisciplinary treatment teams, and developing speech-language programs for staff development and training. You will stay current with advances in speech pathology and special education techniques, especially in school-based settings.
