The Specimen Collector serves as the critical link between Aegis Sciences Corporation and its clients, responsible for collecting biological specimens at client sites to facilitate scientific testing. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and understand the importance of maintaining extreme confidentiality and sample integrity.
In this position, you will be the face of Aegis during patient interactions, requiring a professional, positive, and "can-do" attitude. Your day involves more than just collection; you will manage the entire front-end logistics of the testing process. This includes verifying insurance information, obtaining initial billing verification, ensuring all sample requisitions are accurate, and packaging specimens securely for shipment. You will also act as a resource for clients and patients, answering questions regarding Aegis policies and ensuring a seamless experience from the moment of contact through to the submission of samples.
Success in this role requires balancing operational efficiency with meticulous attention to detail. You will follow strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain the Chain of Custody, ensuring sufficient sample volumes and proper labeling. Additionally, you will support regional sales objectives by fostering open communication between the client and Aegis sales management, while actively participating in process improvements to help achieve departmental and company goals.
