As a Special Education Teacher in Sacramento, you will lead a classroom serving students with diverse learning needs. This role combines instructional leadership with hands-on teaching in a supportive, mission-driven environment. You will partner with families, staff, and related service providers to support each student's academic and social growth.
Your day will involve developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), managing classroom behavior using PBIS frameworks, and supervising paraprofessionals. You will adapt general education curriculum to meet individual student needs, conduct assessments, and track progress toward specific goals. Additionally, you will support the implementation of assistive technology and augmentative communication devices to ensure every student has the tools to succeed.
