Highline Public Schools is driven by a core promise: Every student is known by name, strength, and need, and graduates prepared for the future they choose. Our 2023-2026 Strategic Plan centers on this mission, prioritizing four bold goals to transform our district:
Hilltop Elementary School is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators for the 2026-2027 school year. We are committed to ensuring that every student has access to a Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) tailored to their unique needs.
As a Special Education Teacher, you will work directly with students who have been identified as eligible for special education services through the district's identification and evaluation process. Your primary focus will be to provide high-quality instruction that supports students in achieving their goals as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
You will collaborate with IEP teams to determine the appropriate Least Restrictive Environment for each student, ensuring they access learning opportunities that maximize their potential. This role requires a deep commitment to serving students with mild to severe disabilities, utilizing your expertise to create inclusive and effective learning experiences.
Individual positions within the district may be filled through various processes, including external hires, internal hires, internal displacements, or internal voluntary transfers.
