The Student Success Center is an award-winning, high-impact team within University College at Arizona State University. We operate on the belief that the right person at the right time can change a life. Our mission is to support the success and retention of first-year, sophomore, and transfer students across our four campuses through holistic peer coaching programs. We provide academic support, information, skill development, and advocacy that inspires and empowers students to achieve their goals.
University College is currently undergoing an exciting reinvention to disrupt the traditional 20th-century model of higher education. Guided by principles of being learner-first, bold, simple, personalized, and collaborative, we are designing integrated work and learning experiences to end achievement disparities for students of all backgrounds.
We are seeking an innovative, energetic, and self-motivated leader to join our dynamic, student-centric team. In this role, you will serve as a critical liaison between the Student Success Center and student retention partners, managing and supervising a large team of working learners (peer coaches). You will lead the center's projects and activities, ensuring that our students receive the guidance they need to navigate their first year at ASU.
A key component of this position is your involvement in the University College Work+ program. As a career guide and mentor, you will supervise student peer success coaches, helping them build valuable work skills and facilitating their professional development. You will also play a vital role in preparing student-employees for their future professional careers by enhancing their workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, soft skills, and technical abilities. This position is based on the Tempe campus with occasional travel to other campuses (West, Poly, or Downtown).
