About the Team

The Student Success Center is an award-winning, high-impact team within University College at Arizona State University. We operate on the belief that the right person at the right time can change a life. Our mission is to support the success and retention of first-year, sophomore, and transfer students across our four campuses through holistic peer coaching programs. We provide academic support, information, skill development, and advocacy that inspires and empowers students to achieve their goals.

University College is currently undergoing an exciting reinvention to disrupt the traditional 20th-century model of higher education. Guided by principles of being learner-first, bold, simple, personalized, and collaborative, we are designing integrated work and learning experiences to end achievement disparities for students of all backgrounds.

About the Role

We are seeking an innovative, energetic, and self-motivated leader to join our dynamic, student-centric team. In this role, you will serve as a critical liaison between the Student Success Center and student retention partners, managing and supervising a large team of working learners (peer coaches). You will lead the center's projects and activities, ensuring that our students receive the guidance they need to navigate their first year at ASU.

A key component of this position is your involvement in the University College Work+ program. As a career guide and mentor, you will supervise student peer success coaches, helping them build valuable work skills and facilitating their professional development. You will also play a vital role in preparing student-employees for their future professional careers by enhancing their workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, soft skills, and technical abilities. This position is based on the Tempe campus with occasional travel to other campuses (West, Poly, or Downtown).

Hiring Process

To apply, current employees, student workers, and students must apply directly through the Workday Jobs Hub using the provided single sign-on link. Applications must be submitted before 11:59 PM Arizona time on the day before the posted End Date.

Your application must include the following attachments:

  • Cover letter
  • Resume or CV

You may upload multiple documents or combine them into a single PDF. Please ensure all documents are clearly labeled with your name. Your resume must include all employment information in a month and year format (e.g., 6/04 to 8/14), along with job titles, duties, and employer names. Incomplete applications or missing required materials may not be considered.

Important: Do not withdraw your application to make edits. Once withdrawn, an application cannot be edited, reactivated, or replaced. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact The Office of Human Resources Talent Acquisition before the posting close date.

Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

Arizona State University is a New American University that champions inclusive excellence. We welcome students and employees from all fifty states and more than one hundred nations. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment where all individuals can thrive.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other basis protected by law. ASU is a tobacco-free university.
