This full-time, school-based position in Minneapolis, MN, is designed for the 2026/2027 school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide educational instruction to K-12 students, conducting assessments and developing treatment plans to help them improve their skills and access their education. You will collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes.
Your day involves designing and implementing legally mandated, customized educational plans that outline specific goals and accommodations. You will modify standard lesson plans using specialized techniques like multi-sensory learning and scaffolding to accommodate different learning styles. Beyond instruction, you will monitor academic and behavioral performance, update IEP goals based on data, and implement behavior intervention plans to create a safe learning environment. Additionally, you will oversee and mentor Instructional Assistants or Paraprofessionals who provide direct support to students.
