Special Education Substitute Paraeducator

About the Role

As a Substitute Paraeducator with Fayette County Public Schools, you will serve as a vital support partner to certified teachers, primarily within programs designed for exceptional children. Your presence ensures continuity of care and instruction when regular staff are unavailable, helping to maintain a safe and productive learning environment for students with diverse needs.

In this temporary, hourly position, you will work under the direction of the Superintendent's designee. The role is particularly impactful for those interested in special education, as covering these assignments includes a specific incentive of an additional $7.14/hour. You will be expected to demonstrate patience, cultural sensitivity, and a willingness to learn, potentially including the ability to communicate in more than one language to better serve our diverse community.
