As a Sous Chef, you will serve as a supportive leader within the kitchen, assisting the Executive Chef in daily operations, cooking, and banquets. This role is vital for ensuring the seamless execution of food service and maintaining the high standards of our brand.
You will partner with the Head Chef to monitor kitchen activities, expedite orders to guarantee quality taste and presentation, and provide direction to kitchen staff in the Head Chef's absence. Your day will involve collaborating with a team of cooks to handle varying levels of activity, communicating with servers regarding customer needs, and ensuring a clean, sanitary, and safe workspace at all times. You will also play a key role in the creation and planning of menu items while maintaining effective communication across the Heart of House and Front of House teams.
