About Riverdale Country School

About the Role

This full-time, exempt position serves as a Sous Chef, directly supervising the culinary team and reporting to the Assistant Culinary Director and Culinary Director. The role is pivotal in executing the preparation and cooking of all food items for daily foodservice and special events, ensuring the spirit of farm-to-table food is cultivated within our program.

You will contribute to the structure and organization of our current culinary program, working strategically to communicate effectively with a diverse group of students, parents, peers, managers, and vendors. The ideal candidate will help facilitate a collaborative environment where the team can thrive, ensuring menu items are displayed properly and that the kitchen operates with the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a willingness to support the greater community and engage in all aspects of work with an open mind.
