Our team of more than 7,000 professionals worldwide delivers all-domain expertise and advanced technologies in service of mission partners across the globe. Mission Technologies is leading the next evolution of national defense—the data evolution—by accelerating a breadth of national security solutions for government and commercial customers. Our capabilities range from C5ISR, AI and Big Data, cyber operations, and synthetic training environments to fleet sustainment, environmental remediation, and the largest family of unmanned underwater vehicles in every class.

We are a values and ethics-driven organization that puts people's safety and well-being first. Regardless of your role or where you serve, you'll find a supportive and welcoming environment at HII.
We are seeking a Solution Architect to join the Strategy & Architecture team as a core member and a key participant in architecture governance. In this role, you will partner with external architects, Cybersecurity, and product/platform teams to ensure designs align with enterprise principles, target states, and portfolio roadmaps.
You will lead end-to-end architecture and design across applications, data, integration, cloud infrastructure, and security layers. Your work will involve documenting non-functional requirements (NFRs), architecture decision records (ADR), and reusable patterns that make delivery faster and safer. A significant part of your day will be preparing and presenting solution designs to the Architecture Review Board (ARB) while engaging with diverse teams across the enterprise to build cohesive architectural solutions.
This role is not just about technical design; it is about driving value. You will ensure approved solution designs have traceability to business objectives and portfolio OKRs, accelerate delivery through shared components, and engineer reliability, security, and cost improvements from day one. You will also mentor engineers, facilitate design reviews, and drive architectural quality through communities of practice.
