JANUS Research Group is seeking a Soldier Team SSO to support the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS, G8). The DCS G-8 serves as the principal military advisor to the Chief of Staff, Army, and the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management and Comptroller during the Programming phase of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. This role involves coordinating with the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology on proposed programming and process recommendations related to ongoing and future acquisition programs and science and technology initiatives. Additionally, the team coordinates with Army Futures Command for program funding for all elements of the future force materiel modernization enterprise.
This position manages Soldier situational awareness and sensor programs, including night vision devices, weapon sights, and integrated visual systems. The role provides analytical and technical support for capability development, modernization planning, and resource integration. You will develop information papers, briefings, and SPAR/POM inputs addressing cost, risk, and operational impact. A key part of the day-to-day involves coordinating with ASA(ALT), T2COM, and ARSTAF to align Soldier sensor capabilities with Army modernization priorities.
