Noblis is seeking Software Engineers/Developers to support the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Aeronautics and Exploration Technology directorates at NASA Ames Research Center (ARC). The Advanced Methods project explores using modern data analytics and machine learning technologies to enable an Info-centric National Airspace System (NAS).
In this role, you will engage in research, development, and prototyping focused on natural language processing (NLP) capabilities and fine-tuning large language models (LLMs). Your work will drive post-operational analysis and improve overall NAS efficiency by extracting, storing, and interpreting structured data. You will also lead efforts in digitizing and extracting airspace constraints from legacy Standard Operating Procedures and Letters of Agreement (SOP/LOA) documents, as well as automating the conversion of Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) into digital formats for proactive maintenance and risk reduction.
You will serve as the primary contact for customers on assigned projects, leveraging your knowledge of customer operations and business. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure software delivery aligns with project timelines and quality standards. You may provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members to foster their professional growth. Additionally, you will draft and comment on final reports for project deliverables to the FAA and present innovations in natural language processing and understanding at peer-reviewed conferences.
