About the Role

This position serves as a hybrid Systems Administrator and Software Engineer focused on building hardware-based operational platforms. You will leverage both internal and external products to construct robust environments, including Linux OS images, Kubernetes cluster deployments, and logging systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for deploying OS images to hardware and managing an RKE2 multi-node Kubernetes cluster. Your day-to-day will involve managing additional containers, configuring network policies, implementing Kubernetes Custom Resource Definitions, and handling the initial monitoring and maintenance of the cluster. As a key member of the team, you will participate in and lead the design and architecture of back-end systems, ensuring the platform meets user requirements and is delivered on time. This role requires on-site support to effectively troubleshoot real hardware of varying types, including network switches, servers, routers, and hubs.

Hiring Process

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance (only US Citizens are eligible). The process involves a review of qualifications, including a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or four years of hands-on experience, and proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, C, Rust, or JavaScript. We look for individuals who can work independently, communicate effectively with the broader team, and adapt to changing project requirements.
