The Jewish Board's Adult Residential Division is dedicated to supporting adults with serious and persistent mental illness in living within the community with as much independence as possible. Our work is guided by a non-judgmental, harm-reduction approach that models and guides residents to create and meet personalized recovery goals. We operate with a deep commitment to stable housing, utilizing a culturally competent and anti-racist lens to respect the dignity and legitimacy of each individual's journey.
As a Social Worker, you will serve as a vital clinical interventionist within our therapeutic team. This role exists to ensure clients receive appropriate, culturally sensitive treatment by collaborating closely with medical, psychiatric, and psychology staff. You will partner with residents to develop independent living skills and navigate their path to recovery, balancing the demands of a caseload with the need for deep, person-centered engagement. Your work involves interpreting agency policies, developing safety plans, and advocating for residents with external service providers to link them to community-based programs.
We are committed to approaching our work through an anti-racist lens, engaging in continuous learning, and putting that learning into practice to support our diverse resident population. We value compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals on their sometimes-slow journey to stabilization and recovery. Our team environment fosters collaboration, where staff model respectful interactions and maintain calm in a variety of situations, including those that may be stressful.
We are an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
