About the Role
As a Social Worker at Sanford S Univ Med Ctr in Fargo, ND, you will serve as a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, providing supportive services and counseling to patients, residents, and their families. Your role is designed to address the social, emotional, and economic concerns that impact health outcomes, helping individuals achieve or maintain an optimal level of functioning.
In this position, you will coordinate and plan programs that bridge the gap between medical treatment and community resources. You will act as an advocate, utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment to assist families in understanding the complexities of medical situations. Your day-to-day responsibilities include providing crisis intervention, developing comprehensive plans of care, and connecting clients with essential social, health, and human services agencies. Depending on departmental needs, you may also provide specialized social services for donors and transplant recipients.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited curriculum
- verifiedLicensed Social Worker (LSW) in Minnesota or Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW) in North Dakota
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment
