About the Role
As a Social Worker II, you will serve as a vital member of our social service team, reporting to the Clinical Coordinator or Director of Clinical and Social Services while collaborating closely with Building Managers. This role is designed for a professional who can work autonomously to develop meaningful one-on-one relationships with residents.
Your primary focus is to deliver a comprehensive range of social work services that support residents in navigating medical, mental health, and entitlement systems. You will act as a bridge between residents and community resources, ensuring they receive the care and support necessary to thrive. The position involves a dynamic day-to-day rhythm of individual counseling, crisis intervention, care coordination, and facilitating socialization activities to combat isolation.
Professional Development & Support
WSFSSH is deeply committed to the professional growth of its social work staff. We strongly support MSW-level social workers in obtaining their licensure. To facilitate this, we offer:
- Exam Preparation: Study groups for staff preparing for licensing exams, with course costs covered if needed.
- Licensing Fees: Coverage for up to two licensing exams and associated registration fees.
- Clinical Supervision: Weekly clinical supervision provided by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Pathway to LCSW: As a waived agency with the NYS Education Dept, your work experience as an LMSW will count toward your LCSW eligibility. Typically, after three years of full-time employment, you will be eligible to apply for your LCSW.
- Continuing Education: Once licensed, WSFSSH covers reasonably priced Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to maintain your license.

Requirements
