This role sits within the Marketing & Communications department of the Institutional Advision division at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Judson College. The team is dedicated to telling the Southeastern story, building meaningful relationships, and communicating the institution's overall message to the world. You will join a collaborative office environment of 3–4 staff members, working closely with photographers, designers, and copywriters to execute visual and verbal messaging.
As the Social Media Manager, you will serve as the primary voice of the institution across external social media channels. Your mission is to manage, schedule, and create engaging content that reflects the unique culture of the seminary. This position is vital for connecting with the Southeastern audience, the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), and the broader evangelical community.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of digital strategy and on-the-ground presence. You will dedicate time daily to respond to messages, tags, and mentions, while proactively engaging with followers. Beyond the screen, you will cover chapel services twice weekly and document campus events, conferences, and concerts. You will coordinate with the Student Life office to manage the @AroundSE account and assist faculty and staff with their individual social media strategies. This role requires a balance of creative content generation, including video and graphics, and the agility to handle multiple tasks under deadline pressure.
