About the SkillBridge Fellowship

Raytheon is a provider of SkillBridge/HOH Fellowship opportunities for transitioning service members to gain an in-depth understanding of the aerospace and defense business from some of the most respected leaders and engineers in the industry. This fellowship allows you to interface and collaborate with Information System Security Officers (ISSO) and Information Systems Security Managers (ISSM) to ensure adherence to all NISPOM Chapter 8, DAAPM, and JSIG policies within classified computing environments.

Important Fellowship Details:

• Compensation: SkillBridge fellows will not be eligible for any compensation during their fellowship, as they will continue to receive all military pay and benefits.
• Employment Status: As a SkillBridge participant, you will not be an RTX employee and will remain under the administrative control of your military chain of command.
• Benefits: Benefits such as health insurance, holiday pay, vacation pay, sick leave, and retirement benefits are not available to SkillBridge participants.
• Eligibility: You must be eligible to participate per DoD Instruction 1322.29, projected to receive an honorable discharge, have all TAP and transition requirements completed, and receive approval from your Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.

The Role and Environment

This 100% onsite position is located at our facility in McKinney, Texas. You will assist with system compliance, auditing, security plan development, and delivering information systems security education and awareness. The role involves investigating information system security violations, preparing reports on corrective and preventative actions, and collaborating with facility security teams, program personnel, and government representatives. You may also assist with security sustainment activities, including hardware and software change management, account management, and media protection.

Hiring and Application Process

To be eligible, you must possess an active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance (Secret level) on day one, and U.S. citizenship is required. RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted, though this may vary based on candidate flow and business necessity.
