The SkillBridge initiative, hosted at skillbridge.osd.mil, offers a unique 24-week (6-month) opportunity for transitioning service members to gain professional experience in the civilian workforce. This specific track places you within Maximus's recruitment marketing team, where you will serve as a Digital Advertising Recruitment Associate Specialist Trainee.
In this role, you will act as a vital support to the team responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing digital recruitment campaigns. You will be immersed in the day-to-day operations of employer branding, assisting with everything from crafting integrated marketing strategies and managing social media to auditing landing pages and writing compelling copy.
Your journey begins with a two-week orientation to understand Maximus's culture and the fundamentals of recruitment marketing. For the bulk of the program (weeks 3–22), you will gain hands-on experience across the full marketing lifecycle: collaborating on creative assets, managing digital advertising platforms, executing email nurture campaigns, and promoting hiring events. You will also learn to track performance metrics, conduct A/B testing, and ensure all activities align with brand and compliance standards. The program concludes with a final review and transition phase to document your learnings.
