About the Program
The SkillBridge initiative, hosted at skillbridge.osd.mil, offers a unique 6-month (24-week) training opportunity designed to bridge the gap between military service and civilian careers. This specific track focuses on Digital Advertising Recruitment, placing trainees within Maximus's recruitment marketing teams.
The role exists to support the planning, execution, and optimization of digital recruitment campaigns. Trainees will serve as brand ambassadors, assisting with employer branding initiatives, recruitment event promotion, and the creation of marketing content. This position provides a comprehensive immersion into the recruiting industry, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience with digital and social advertising platforms, email nurtures, and performance analytics while contributing to the organization's talent acquisition goals.
The Experience
The program is structured to take you from foundational knowledge to independent contribution over the course of six months:
- Weeks 1-2 (Orientation & Fundamentals): You will begin by understanding Maximus's core mission, recruitment marketing basics, and essential concepts.
- Weeks 3-22 (Execution & Collaboration): The bulk of the program involves active participation in campaign planning and execution. You will collaborate on developing marketing content and assets, manage digital advertising platforms, and support the creation of email nurture campaigns. You will also assist in promoting hiring events, auditing landing pages, and ensuring compliance with brand standards. A key component of this phase is learning to track, report, and measure performance through data analysis and A/B testing.
- Weeks 23-24 (Wrap-Up & Transition): The program concludes with a final review, documentation of your work, and a program evaluation to ensure a smooth transition.
Throughout the journey, you will work directly with recruiters and cross-functional partners, exploring new tools and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in candidate experience and engagement.
