About the Program

The SkillBridge initiative, hosted at skillbridge.osd.mil, offers a unique 6-month (24-week) training opportunity designed to bridge the gap between military service and civilian careers. This program places trainees within Maximus's recruitment marketing teams to gain hands-on experience in digital advertising, employer branding, and talent acquisition strategy.

About the Role

As a Digital Advertising Recruitment Associate Specialist, you will serve as a vital support to the team in planning, executing, and optimizing digital recruitment campaigns. This role is designed to immerse you in the full lifecycle of recruitment marketing, from crafting audience segments and building email nurtures to managing social media, creating graphics, and auditing landing pages.

Your day-to-day will involve collaborating with recruiters and cross-functional partners to promote hiring events, ensure brand consistency, and analyze performance metrics. You will act as a brand ambassador at virtual and on-site career fairs while generating reports that inform leadership of upcoming initiatives and key metrics. The program culminates in a final review and transition, ensuring you leave with a robust portfolio of campaign optimization and industry research skills.

Program Structure

The 24-week journey is structured to build foundational knowledge before moving into execution:

• Weeks 1-2 (Orientation & Fundamentals): Understand Maximus, recruitment marketing basics, and core concepts.
• Weeks 3-22 (Campaign Planning & Execution): Engage in hands-on work including campaign planning, content creation, digital advertising platform management, email nurtures, event promotion, performance analytics, and A/B testing. You will also support career website updates and explore new tools.
• Weeks 23-24 (Wrap-Up & Transition): Complete a final review, documentation, and program evaluation.

Compensation & Benefits

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including job location, education, training, experience, and market value. While this specific SkillBridge trainee role is structured as a program, Maximus generally provides a comprehensive total compensation package including health insurance, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off. Annual salary is just one component of the total rewards, which may also include short- and long-term incentives.
