The SkillBridge initiative, hosted at https://skillbridge.osd.mil/, offers a unique 6-month (24-week) opportunity for transitioning service members to gain professional experience in the civilian workforce. This specific role is designed as a Digital Advertising Recruitment Associate Specialist trainee position within Maximus, providing a structured pathway to develop expertise in recruitment marketing and employer branding.

About the Role

As a trainee, you will serve as a vital support member to Maximus's recruitment marketing teams. Your primary mission is to assist in planning, executing, and optimizing digital recruitment campaigns that attract high-quality talent. You will act as a brand ambassador, representing Maximus at virtual and on-site career fairs and on-campus recruiting events.

Your day-to-day involvement will span the full spectrum of recruitment marketing. You will help craft integrated marketing strategies, develop audience segments, and build email nurture campaigns. The role offers hands-on experience with digital and social advertising platforms, including managing digital ads, creating graphics, and auditing landing pages. You will also collaborate on content creation, copywriting, and performance analytics to measure campaign success and suggest improvements to the candidate experience.

Program Structure

The 24-week program is designed to take you from foundational knowledge to independent execution:

• Weeks 1-2 (Orientation & Fundamentals): You will undergo orientation to understand Maximus, recruitment marketing basics, and core concepts.
• Weeks 3-22 (Core Execution): This extended period focuses on active participation. You will support campaign planning, content development, and digital platform management. You will gain practical skills in email nurtures, recruitment event promotion, performance tracking, and A/B testing. Additionally, you will work with stakeholders, assist with career website updates, explore new tools, and ensure compliance with brand standards while researching industry trends.
• Weeks 23-24 (Wrap-Up & Transition): The program concludes with a final review, documentation of your work, and a program evaluation to prepare you for your next career step.
