We are a well-established union site work contractor operating throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. Our work focuses on excavation, site utilities, grading, storm sewer, and paving for a variety of commercial and civil projects. As a long-standing company with strong local roots, we pride ourselves on consistent work and an experienced field team.
With our backlog continuing to grow and several senior leaders approaching retirement, we are expanding our superintendent team to support long-term operations. This is a career opportunity designed for stability, not tied to a single project.
The Site Work Superintendent will serve as the leader on the ground across multiple active job sites. In this role, you will direct union crews and ensure site work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans and schedules. You will oversee daily field operations for excavation and site development projects, managing crews of approximately 3–15 union operators and laborers.
Your day will involve directing and coordinating complex work involving site utilities, storm sewer systems, grading, earthwork, and asphalt paving. You will be responsible for layout and site coordination, enforcing safety, quality, and productivity standards, and managing manpower, equipment, and work sequencing. While you will move between projects as work progresses across the Greater Philadelphia area, approximately 90% of projects are located within 30 minutes of Philadelphia city limits. Occasional work in nearby South Jersey or Northern Delaware may be required.
This is a non-union supervisory role overseeing union labor and operators. Superintendents direct work but do not self-perform manual labor.
We offer a competitive hourly pay based on experience, with overtime eligibility. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, dental insurance, a company truck, and a gas card. We provide a supportive union environment where you can work alongside experienced crews.
