The Spirit of the Position
The Shuttle Driver role is the heartbeat of our airport transportation service. This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective transportation of passengers and employees to and from the airport terminal and employee parking. Beyond driving, you are the first point of contact for travelers, tasked with ensuring their safety and welfare from the moment they board until they reach their destination.
Day in the Life
Your day involves more than just operating a vehicle. You will greet passengers with a caring attitude, offering assistance with baggage and providing local area information. A key part of your role is ensuring accessibility for all, including operating specialized equipment like wheelchair lifts and tie-downs for passengers with special needs.
You will maintain the shuttle's safety and cleanliness through daily pre- and post-inspections, routine cleaning, and proper fueling. Communication is vital; you will interact professionally with dispatch via two-way radio, report any mechanical or safety issues immediately, and keep accurate logs for accidents or lost articles. Whether working with or without supervision, you will uphold the highest standards of customer satisfaction with a friendly, can-do demeanor.
Hiring Process & Requirements
To join our team, candidates must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record (no moving violations or DUI convictions in the last three years). A professional appearance is required, with no visible tattoos on the forearms or legs. Employment is contingent upon passing a DOT physical and drug screening.
