Under supervision, you will assist with shop duties to provide timely, quality, and cost-effective maintenance for the vehicle fleet, including tractors, trailers, and other equipment. Your work ensures a safe and efficient fleet through inspection, preventative maintenance, repairs, and documentation.
You will collaborate with other technicians to perform preventative maintenance and repairs while supporting overall shop operations. Daily tasks include setting up jobs, maintaining shop equipment, and keeping a clean work environment. You will utilize power and hand tools as directed by leadership to move, install, and remove parts on vehicles.
A significant part of the role involves preparing electronic and manual records and reports, as well as assisting with safety inspections. You may be required to drive a service van to off-site locations and perform work there. The environment involves exposure to heavy traffic, dust, diesel fumes, noise, chemicals, oils, and varying climate conditions. Hours may vary based on operational needs.

We welcome up to 757 people each night, supporting 90% of Tarrant County's homeless population through our services for individual men and women, families with children, veterans, and people living with severe mental illness. Located east of downtown Fort Worth and one block south of East Lancaster on Cypress Street, Presbyterian Night Shelter is a 7-acre campus comprised of six shelter facilities.
