This position serves as a critical support function for our maintenance operations, ensuring technicians have immediate access to the truck, trailer, dolly, and forklift parts required for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance. The role exists to maintain a well-organized, accurate inventory that minimizes downtime and keeps our fleet running efficiently.
In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of parts inventory, from receiving and stocking to issuing and returning items for credit. You will act as the primary liaison with national account FedEx Freight approved vendors to procure necessary stock parts. Your day-to-day involves utilizing computer systems to organize bin locations, monitor open purchase orders, and identify parts with no movement over the last twelve months. You will also be responsible for preparing shipping and receiving records, both manually and electronically, and ensuring invoices are received and processed in a timely manner.
The physical nature of the work requires the ability to operate in a dynamic environment, including exposure to heavy traffic areas, dust, diesel fumes, noise, and various chemicals. You may occasionally need to handle heavy components, such as tractor brake drums weighing approximately 110 pounds.
