Position Summary
The Material Handler plays a vital role in keeping production lines supplied with the raw materials and packaging necessary to maintain efficient operations throughout the facility. This position ensures that Electronics Technicians have the resources they need on a daily basis, acting as a key link between the warehouse and the production floor.
About the Role
In this role, you will coordinate closely with supervisors to proactively supply materials, ensuring all areas are stocked in a timely manner to promote seamless operations. Your day-to-day activities involve filling warehouse satellite locations, managing inventory through daily cycle counts, and handling the logistics of raw material returns. You will also support the Quality Assurance team and manage various ERP transactions while maintaining accurate paperwork.
Safety and accuracy are paramount; you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area, verifying the condition and warranty status of returned goods, and ensuring all returns sent to AstroNova are complete and accurate. The role requires the ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs continuously or repetitively, as well as the ability to operate a forklift.
