This position serves as the operational backbone of the Canton Trailer Division, ensuring the timely and accurate flow of goods through our shipping and receiving functions. You will act as a critical interface between internal teams, external vendors, and customers, resolving transportation issues and maintaining the integrity of our supply chain. The role is designed for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment, balancing warehouse logistics with administrative precision.
In this capacity, you will manage the full lifecycle of inbound and outbound freight, from labeling and put-away to scheduling truck loads and negotiating freight rates. Beyond standard logistics, you will play a key role in supporting our R&D and prototype efforts, coordinating with engineers to stage product displays for training and videography. This is a versatile role where you will also mentor backup personnel, share expertise on parts and locations, and occasionally travel to local Hendrickson plants and suppliers to facilitate operations.
You will operate within a hybrid manufacturing and office setting. The role requires the ability to work in a heated, non-air-conditioned test laboratory as well as an air-conditioned office area for data entry and reporting. While the position involves significant computer work and sitting, it also requires physical activity, including lifting up to 25 lbs, maneuvering heavier objects with assistance, and operating powered industrial trucks. Safety is paramount; you must be able to wear all required PPE, including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection.
