The Elevator Support Unit is seeking an experienced trainer to be part of the team that develops and delivers training programs on electro-hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems aboard U.S. Naval Carriers. This includes training on Cargo weapons elevators, Aircraft elevators, Vertical Package Conveyors, and Hanger/Divisional Doors.
In this role, you will design and develop technical shipboard training for all levels of personnel using technical references, blueprints, and drawings. You will create tests, visual aids, and criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of the training you develop. A key part of your day involves communicating with customer leadership to build strong relationships for future engagements. You will also be responsible for developing an in-house program to identify developmental needs and preparing assignments. Additionally, you may lead the development of E-learning and Virtual Reality systems to support training initiatives.
This is a full-time position located in San Diego, CA. Travel is required at scheduled requests to deliver training to the crews of naval ships. This may include getting underway and/or flying on and off the ship. Travel locations include Norfolk, Newport News, Portsmouth, Bremerton, San Diego, and Japan. Please note that this position does not provide relocation assistance.
