The Elevator Support Unit is seeking an experienced trainer to be part of the team that develops and delivers training programs on electro-hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems aboard U.S. Naval Carriers. This includes Cargo weapons elevators, Aircraft elevators, Vertical Package Conveyors, and Hanger/Divisional Doors.
In this role, you will design and develop technical shipboard training for all levels of personnel using technical references, blueprints, and drawings. You will create tests, visual aids, and criteria for evaluating training effectiveness, while also developing in-house programs to identify developmental needs. The position involves creating E-learning content and potentially Virtual Reality systems, utilizing student guides and other training aids directly aboard carriers.
This is a full-time position located in San Diego, CA. Travel is required at scheduled requests to deliver training to naval ship crews, which may include getting underway and flying on and off ships. Locations for travel include Norfolk, Newport News, Portsmouth, Bremerton, San Diego, and Japan. Please note that this position does not provide relocation assistance.
