About the Role
We are hiring a Sheetmetal Fabricator for a client in Cincinnati, OH. This role is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and inspection of sheet metal components in a manufacturing environment while consistently demonstrating the company's Core Values. The position requires technical skill, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
A Typical Day
You will take ownership of assigned fabrication tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision. Your day involves utilizing proper setup, sequencing, and fabrication methods to ensure efficient, high-quality production. You will read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, labels, and work instructions to fabricate sheet metal components using appropriate equipment and hand tools.
Throughout the shift, you will perform measurements, inspections, and quality checks to ensure products meet tolerances and design specifications. You may develop sketches and perform shop calculations to improve fabrication accuracy and efficiency. Collaboration is key; you will communicate effectively with the Shop Foreman and Department Leads using 3-way communication to confirm work assignments and work with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
The environment is a fast-paced indoor manufacturing shop where you will maintain a clean and organized work area. You will follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations to protect the safety and well-being of employees and others in the facility. The role involves exposure to varying temperatures, loud work environments, and fabrication equipment, with hearing protection available as needed.
