As a Service/Repair Technician 3, you will serve as a subject matter expert, leveraging in-depth mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, gas, and refrigeration (HVACR) knowledge to handle complex troubleshooting scenarios. You will provide critical on-site support to Hobart Service customers, managing the installation and service of commercial food equipment. Your role is vital in maintaining the reliability of our equipment in diverse environments, from commercial kitchens to industrial facilities.
Your day-to-day involves a dynamic mix of scheduled preventative maintenance and urgent repair calls. You will be responsible for interpreting schematic diagrams, diagnosing sequence of operations, and ensuring all work complies with state and federal regulations regarding combustion emissions. Beyond technical execution, you will act as a brand ambassador, promoting financial objectives by delivering quality customer experiences and identifying opportunities for new business leads.
This position requires a flexible schedule to meet customer needs, including on-call availability, after-hours support, and weekend or holiday coverage. You will manage assigned company assets, including your vehicle, tools, and inventory, while adhering to strict safety protocols and driving policies.
Candidates selected for this role will undergo a review of their technical qualifications and experience. The process typically includes an initial screening to verify credentials, followed by an interview to assess technical aptitude and customer service skills. Final candidates may be asked to demonstrate practical troubleshooting abilities or discuss specific past projects involving complex HVACR systems.
