Headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, Greystar manages and operates over $300 billion of real estate in more than 265 markets globally with offices throughout North America, Europe, South America, and the Asia-Pacific region. Greystar is the largest operator of apartments in the United States, managing over one million units/beds globally.

The Service Technician is a vital part of the property team, performing technical and mechanical work that ensures the physical aspects of the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the Company’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality. This role is essential for maintaining the quality of life for residents and the operational efficiency of the property.
In this position, you will be the first point of contact for resident service requests, diagnosing defects and executing repairs in accordance with established policies and safety standards. A key component of the role involves the "make-ready" process, where you prepare vacant apartment homes for new move-ins by conducting inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard.
Beyond individual repairs, you will play a hands-on role in maintaining the property's grounds and common areas, including pressure-washing, general cleaning, and signage maintenance. You will also support cost-cutting initiatives by prioritizing repairs over replacements and practicing efficient use of materials and tools. As a Service Technician, you are expected to be flexible, often working evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure the property remains safe and functional for residents.
To apply, please submit your resume through the official Greystar careers portal. The hiring process typically involves a review of your qualifications followed by an interview with the property management team to discuss your experience and fit for the role.
